Globe Aroma

Globe Aroma presented a selection of 4 artists in the form of three solo exhibitions/artistic interventions in the D'Ieteren space.

Globe Aroma is an artistic workspace and meeting place that offers space, time and a network to artists* and art lovers*. Through the artistic workspace, Globe Aroma supports artists by providing them with a space to work and reflect, tools and a network. In collaboration with artists, Globe Aroma tries to create tailor-made trajectories aimed at lowering the threshold of accessibility to the artistic field.

* Globe Aroma works with people who are (have been) newcomers and who may therefore face barriers in accessing the arts sector and engaging in artistic activities due to their precarious citizenship status.

Stockmans Art Books & HOPPER&FUCHS

Bruno Devos, curator of art books and publisher of Stockmans Art Books and HOPPER&FUCHS, presented his archive at the BGW meeting point.

One of his main aims is to provide a haven for books, so that they can serve as tools for artists to connect with their audiences.

Through a rhythmic installation of art books, visitors were invited to engage in conversations about the publishing, creation and distribution of books.

A colouring booklet was also created by Bruno Devos and offered to children.

Ateliers Indigo

At the invitation of the Brussels Gallery Weekend, La Collective Indigo is presenting a wide selection of works representing the activities of its members. The works of 12 artists with disabilities are on show, revealing their varied practices and singular concerns.

The Indigo Collective is set out in modules inspired by the visual codes of both the venue and the modernist exhibition pavilions. In this way, the works are revealed by a scenography that takes its cue from the signage of this ephemeral exhibition space, and uses raw materials. The space is a powerful affirmation of complex and fascinating worlds. The Indigo collective's pavilion is a manifesto promoting works created in absolute freedom.
